Quick Bio of Adam Hoskins

Adam Hoskins was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and has been playing the guitar for 20 years. He frequently performed with Pokey LaFarge, with whom he was a founding member of Pokey LaFarge & the South City Three. He also plays regularly with his own project, Maximum Effort, Voted St. Louis' Best Punk Band by the Riverfront Times, Maximum Effort aims to spread the truth about conspiracies, government cover-ups, and social injustices. Their most recent album, S/T, was released in July 2019.
 
In addition to the guitar, Adam plays the upright bass, electric bass, lap-steel, banjo-uke, some claw-hammer banjo, and a bit of mandolin. He also serves as an audio engineer, music producer, arranger and songwriter. His music has traces from influences of rock, country blues, trad-jazz and ragtime.

Adam Is also a music teacher. He has a Bachelor's of Music Degree from Webster University as well as 8 years teaching experience. He has taught all ages at all levels. Feel free to contact if you are interested in scheduling.
